However, you can download the script from the bottom and run it from your desktop, which does essentially the same thing, but it does it in 'local' context - under XP SP2 you should see it fail or prompt you depending on your settings. Oh, and all the script does is create an XMLHttp object to download a 'scrape' of Google in order to discover your Google Desktop key (using RegEx). If you don't have a Google Desktop Key it does nothing for you at all, but attempt to create that XMLHttp 'activex' object, which is the security test you're after. Regards, Shawn K.
