Are you sure you haven't changed your default search or modified any of the other code related to the 'default search'? I just 'clean' installed DQSD (deleted the Quick Search Deskbar directory on both before isntalling) on W2K Server and a W2K3 Server and did not experience that situation on either system. Scan through localprefs.js for a line that looks something like this: defaultsearch="ggd"; Change it to: defaultsearch="gg"; Regards, Shawn K.
