With all this talk about double-height taskbars I tried resizing mine (which I've hardly ever done :) and I saw something I've not noticed before: the gradient shading that so nicely matches the Vista taskbar only extends down one row; in fact actually not quite one row, because now I see there is a small strip of pure black even in the single-row case. Picture attached (does that work?)
