Should I be able to run the newest vault side by side with an old
version? I can't run the new one as production because of this vault
issue, but would like to run it on the same build server for testing...

Thanks!

Any ideas here from Vault users? I thought I remembered someone talking
about this a while ago but I could not find it in google...

I have no idea... I had an install in testing running along for almost 2
weeks... felt confident enough to move it to production (clean install)
-- pointed at the source server and the report reads from 05/30/04...
(doesn't show that it got the latest code or not)... build is successful
though... :P

I had to roll back to a previous version. :( Strange too because my test
server started behaving the same way after that.

Can you explain the problem a little more? Lets see if we can fix it.
What
do I need to do to reproduce the issue?

thanks
Paul

Also I am seeing this strange problem with the (vault) build trying to
download just a certain date range... :

build.All-20040530T072635Z

It is stuck on this date range... I went in and manually changed the
last updated, last change info and it did not help.

Very strange - this install works on another box. Guess I have to roll
back again. :(

I can send you a config file but pretty much any changes this happens
with.

I tried to put some null checks in the
Draco.Core.SCC.Modification.CompareTo method but it did not seem to
help...

I am available to provide any details you need (via IM as well). Email
me offlist if you like.

Thanks!

Hi,

I have not tested vault because I didn't have access to a vault
repository.
I see that I can get a free single user license though. I'll install an

instance and try to reproduce the issue. Can you explain what I need to
do
to reproduce the issues? I have not used vault before so let me know of
any
special kind of config I'll need to do.

thanks
Paul

OK while it helped on my test box - it sure will not help in production.
I have no idea why this is happening, but its failing and sending out an
email every few minutes of a new failure:

Failed to process build 'DotNetNuke.All'. The following exception
occurred:
System.InvalidOperationException: Specified IComparer threw an
exception. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set
to an instance of an object.

Any help is appreciated on this!

It seems that deleting all the buildinfo and log files helped get rid of
this error.

Thanks.

Any idea what might be causing this:

Failed to process build 'DotNetNuke.All'. The following exception
occurred:
System.InvalidOperationException: Specified IComparer threw an
exception. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set
to an instance of an object.
   at Draco.Core.Scc.Modification.CompareTo(Object obj)

earliestModificationTime)
   at Draco.Core.Runtime.BuildRunner.CheckForChanges(BuildType
buildType, Boolean& changesSinceLastBuild)
   at Draco.Core.Runtime.BuildRunner.Start(BuildType buildType)

We are using solution tasks, the latest daily build from nant (which
will run this build file manually), and vault.

Thanks!
