I guess I should say old DF builder, as I'm over 50 and the plane I am
building is plan #19, issued in 1981.

My name is Paul Fischer, and I live in Olathe Kansas. (Close to
Spudley!) I purchased #19 from Larry Sheets of Phoenix and have hauled
it back to Olathe. I also am looking at a 2276cc HAPI/SCAT VW motor that
Spud had spare.

The work done so far is the sides and bottom of the fuse and the turtle
decks are glassed one side, the bulkheads are cut out of the 1/2" foam.
I finished up the wing and canard templates yesterday. The stabilizer
and rudder are also cut out of blue foam.

Larry was really a great guy to meet, and he was helpful too. He
supplied the 22' bench for the wing, a hot wire saw, an epoxy cabinet,
and an upright glass fabric roller system with all the glass required. I
also have some instruments (engine) and aluminum wheels with hydraulic
brakes and master cylinders.

I think am ready to hot-wire the wing and canard, but am not sure a)
which lay-up schedule to use for the wing and canard (for a MKII or III)
and therefore b) how deep to make the shearweb/spar cutouts in the
various templates. Any one out there that has been through this help me?

Look forward to working with you guys!

Paul-
