>The shy, yet radiating smile that so easily came by him. Even his

>he seems to be drawn out of a reverie. "Hello, Dusk.

He said her name, outloud, to her face. She could have danced, sang, and
thrown her arms around him. But she could not, not now. The amulet against
her chest burns like the heat inside her soul, and a tiny layer of darkness
is peeled away. As if she had been hiding at the center of an onion, and
this was the start to reaching the good parts. To her own face comes a
smile, almost warm it its' own way.

However, the moment is hazed when she remembers the rules. Rules she must
abide by or all this work, all her lifetime of eons was ruined. It could all
be tossed away with one breathe. But she did not want him to leave, not yet.
So, she steps forward, just one step. Raising a slender hand, the one free
of his brush, she makes a tiny waving motion, as if to say hello.

Oh how she wanted to speak to him, to let him know her real voice. But
wanting something, and knowing the outcome, makes the wanting less tempting.
