Carine had waited, but had not had heard word from Rue or Hawk, and the wait was getting to her making her anxious, so she decided to head out on her own. She had seen Rue a few days back at the Inn she didnt stay long but she made her message known. By handing Rue her ornate dagger she whispered to him, I shall return for this, and she turned and walked out. That was then, and now she had just loaded her horse up with supplies from the Gryphons hidden stash, and now made her way to the Hart Inn to deliver one last note

            Dear Rue,

I leave word for you and Hawk. I could no longer sit and wait I am too young and too anxious I guess. I wont do anything stupid I am just going to check out the trail to the ruins and see what information I can attain. I will stay out of them until Hawk, and I can go together. I just needed to do something I dont expect to be gone any longer that three to four days.

                                                                        Your sister,

                                                                              Sithin

The note delivered Carine looked about as she mounted her horse, with a slight heal she urged her horse on in the direction of the Ruins. It was early morning the sky was gray, and there was a slight mist in the air. She hoped it would clear up for she did not enjoy riding for days in the rain the only thing worse was to be stranded on a ship in stormy seas. It wasnt hard to fine the trail leading to the Ruins she had studied old maps in Brookshire committed them to memory and followed what she saw in her minds eye.

She traveled the day without any problems, and when night fell she made camp. She set up a tarp to conceal her fire from the path she didnt need any unwanted eyes watching her. She rose the with sun low in the sky it was a restless night she remembered seeing herself standing in a haze reading an inscription, but then she awoke. Carine didnt think much of it. But kept it just in reach in her thoughts if something seemed out of the ordinary. Morning went by only with her stopping for lunch that afternoon while she walked her horse to give it a break she noticed a cloud of dust down the trail just barely perceptible. Quickly she lead her horse of the trail and into a small cluster of trees about fifty yards from the trailshe waited, and watched. Time crawled by and yet whatever it was grew closer. Patiently she waited for it to pass by as it came into view she watched a dozen riders go past as to who they where she had no idea they bore no insignia to give them any name. As long as it took them to approach they were gone just as fast if they had seen Carine they made no motion in her direction

Travelling a few more hours she was coming nearer to the ruins she could feel it. The eeriness of the place could be felt, and as legend had it even with the sun still in the sky a fog rose up around her as she road on into the place that none returned from as the stories are told
