What does `ifconfig -a' say? Have the interfaces got new names?

What wireless card do you have?

If the interface name changed from wlan0 to something else, change this line

  wireless_interface = wlan0

to the correct interface in `/etc/wicd/manager-settings.conf'. Reboot or restart
the service.
