About half way down the page under RESTORATION TECHNIQUES you will see
Drake Cabinet Repainting Basics, by: Mark Gilger / WB0IQK

I tried it and it works beautifully.

If you have trouble finding the correct drill bit, just use a 1/16" (or equivalent.

Dear friends,

I am a proud onwer of  two Drake lines (B and C). According to the serial number the B line was manufactured in 1970 and the C line in 1976. Both units are in very good condition with the exception of the B line MS4. The previous owner painted it and the work on it was terrible. I know that there are a couple of people in the US who paint Drake rigs but I am so far away that I am sure that the cost would be phohibited.

I would like to receive some tips::

1) What kind of paint is the right one for a 1970 B line and where it is available. B anc C lines use different paints, right?

2) What is the correct painting process.

Thanks in advance.
