I just acquired a TR7A. It works great. Listening to the speaker, the receiver sounds great and I have been getting great audio quality reports on my SSB transmissions.
However, I do hear a pretty noticeable 60 Hz hum when I use my headphones. (I don't notice the hum in the speaker even when the volume is turned way down -- I only hear the hum when I use headphones). Is this normal for a TR7A? If not, where should I look to track down the problem? The power supply? A blocking cap in the audio section?
