Good evening,

I recently purchased a TR-4Cw and MN-2000. I am awaiting my power supply.
I also purchased a Shure 444D desk microphone of the same vintage to use
with the transceiver in addition to Drake 1525EM and 7073DM hand
microphones.

I have much to learn. I am especially concerned about the tune up and
balancing the plate current with the load, which sounds pretty dicey.

My immediate question however is regarding the connection for a microphone.
The 4 series manuals all refer to an S-230 connector (switchcraft) which was
apparently included with the equipment when new. I would like to know more
about the connector. I checked out the Virtual Museum and former Web list
and could not find explicit answers.

Exactly what is this connector?
Where can I get one?
Will my Shure desk microphone connect through it?

Lastly does anyone have one have this connector they would like to
sell?....... If so you can forget the questions above and just send me a
quote.

Thanks and Regards, 73s
