Hi!
Many TR-7 lovers praise the second version of the
2nd IF/AF board because of its product detector MC1496 with its great
audio. Browsing the Web I read that the V1 and V2 are interchangeable.
What I don't find is the information about the changes on the
PBT/REF board.
Because the MC1496 needs a lot more LO signal (BFO)
(approx. 300 mV rms) the PBT/REF board was changed to produce a higher BFO
level.
Apply the following changes to a V1 PBT/REF board
to make it match with a V2 2nd IF/AF board.
V1 PBT/REF board
==============
R1058 = 68 Ohm (was 220 Ohm)
R1060 = removed! (was 68 Ohm)
