Tomorrow, 2/1/04, the FCC will hold a public meeting where it is likely they will
introduce an NPRM which if implemented will relax limitations on Part 15
devices between 2 and 80 Mhz. This in order to facilitate the development
and implementation of access BPL.
If the Commission adopts a Report & Order on this matter we can kiss HF Communications goodbye ! Only the hearty souls willing to build amps around 8171s and 8281s will be able to make heads or tails out of the ensuing mess.
The FCC's Meeting will take place at 9:30 AM EST (1430 UTC) and will be streamed at: http://www.fcc.gov/realaudio/
The latest ARRL article on the matter can be viewed at: http://www.arrl.org/news/stories/2004/02/06/4/?nc=1
