The TR-7 has an output level control allowing you to set the output from very near 0 to 120W (Drake recommended output on 20M).

It also has negative ALC voltage control. I don't know what the SB-200 ALC output is, but it's probably compatible.

The TR-7 uses a "real" relay, and should be able to key the
SB-200 easily. The relay is similar to the one used in the
4 Series and the contacts are rated at 3A maximum and 1000V
breakdown. The problem is with the (primarily) Japanese
rigs that use small reed relays for amplifier keying.

Is anyone using this combination?

I wonder if it's advisable to use an external relay to control
the amp, or whether the TR7 switching can handle it as-is?

Sage advice of the Drakelist greatly appreciated!!!
