Which schematic do you have? There are at least four versions. The "correct" schematic for your receiver would be 11017625900.
Most likely you will find that your extra components are the result of circuit modifications/additions where the reviser wasn't careful about the numbers. If you look at earlier schematic versions you will probably find your "missing" numbers have been removed. Since this equipment wasn't made for sale to the government, Drake didn't follow the "change order" procedures like Collins did. You will also find a few units with some changes NOT shown on the "correct" schematic. The only suggestion I have would be to list the missing ones as "unused" and the duplicates as R8a and R8b with a note of explanation.

Hi all, I have a R-4C, sn 27887 and have been trying to make a list of the resistors and capacitors and their values by the numbers from the schematic. I am having some trouble in doing this. I have found two R8's and two R70's listed on the schematic with different values and I can't find R35, R44, R53, R57, R118, R119, R120, and R131 listed anywhere. I am not sure if I have R71 or not, the print on the schematic is not clear. On the capacitor list I am missing C37, C40, C61, C96, C97, C169, C171, C174, C186, and C194. Capacitor number C184 is listed in two places both as .005uf. I have found two C10's, one listed as 10pf and one as 540pf. and there are two C167's listed, one as .005uf and one as 1000uf.. If there is anyone out there that can help me sort this out I would really appreciate it.
