Not to belabor this too much (too late, I know!) but in the USAF we sent
newbies over to the A&P shop (airframe & powerplant) for a bucket of
propwash. Sometimes a joker there would say they were out, and send him
over to the washracks to bring them back some so he could bring us some.
Then there were others sent for a few yards of flightline. Initiation
rites are peculiar, aren't they?!

I worked in the maintenance department and we got numerous requests for the
above...so we developed a nonesense language which added insult to injury
and
confusion to the mix.
BTW, the game could more interesting if you specified the size of the
stretcher
or the colors of the paint.
We sometimes told folks we were fresh out of the correct size/color....and
asked
them to complete a requistion.
