"Jack Wilson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made an utterence to the drakelist gang
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all,

I'm new to this list so, please excuse if this is an old subject. I gave
away, yep, you heard it right, gave away, my Drake 4b twins that I had
cherished since the 70's a few years ago. I was so put off with the garbage
that was going on on twenty meters back in the late 80's and early 90's that
I said I don't need it.

Of course, giveawayers remorse hit me a few years later when the band had
been cleaned up,(at least a little), and I missed my Drake equipment. So,
now I am in the process of trying to reassemble a complete Drake line
station. (I did have the sense to keep the L4B, hope it still works OK).

But what is bothering me is the question of the interconnecting cables. I
purchased a TR4 to get back into things, but, or course, I don't have the
interconnecting cable to go to the L4B. Looks like it is one of those
cables that has two small prongs on each end. After thinking about it for
awhile, I guess that all of that equipment you see on Ebay doesn't come as
packaged from the factory, i.e., cables included. And of course, Radio Shack
(You've got questions?, We've got blank stares!) is no help at all.

So, my question is, Is there a source for these cables? How do you connect
up the R's to the T's and the whole station to the L's?

Any help would be appreciated and, as I said before, if this is old hat,
please excuse but please give me a clue if you can.

Thanks,

Jack
K1HW
