I’m just getting back into Drake ownership, after having a TR4C
and “C” line in the 1970’s. R-4A’s and T-4Xs are quite
plentiful and fairly attractively priced. “C” lines seem to be
getting top dollar. I even acquired an R-4A and T-4X from the down dump! In
doing a Web search I have been unable to find any articles that describe the
essential differences between the three lines. My memory of the R-4C seems to
suggest that it was a much better receiver than my current R-4A. Is my memory
playing tricks on me? Can anyone give me a pointer to finding some comparison
