I just received a R-4C purchased via E-Bay and it appears to be working
just great except for one flaw. The turning dial is seriously out of alignment
– maybe 200 kHz off. Upon opening the unit I see all of the white gears
and connection to a shift, that appears to be withdrawing a slug on a coil,
however, I can’t figure out how to realign the circular disk with the
dial markings. It looks like someone else made an attempt since the spacers
that hold the bracket for the dial lamp and white background were floating around
under the chassis and the bracket was hanging quite loose. Any ideas? Bruce W1TIS |
