Richard Holder <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made an utterence to the drakelist gang ----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi folks out in Drake land.
It is getting cold enough here that it is about time to work on indoor projects.
I started a R4C - T4XC pair that hadn't been used for about 25 years last spring.
Both work, but with a couple of, I hope, minor problems. I will ask about them before I start taking things apart.
I have done nothing to the T4XC except turn it on and use it, so I will start now
with a good cleaning of all the wafer switches with DeOxit.
When using the pair there gradually appears a signal on the rx freq. A quick switch
to the tune postilion on the tx and the signal is gone. Might the switch cleaning
help this?
The spotting signal works well when the tx is first turned on but after it has been
on for some time, it disappears, so there is no way that you can find the tx signal
to put it on the same frequency as the rx. Any ideas? (can't transceive because the
bfo is off freq. Still have to fix that)
Thanks in advance for your help.
Richard Holder
