Are you sure it's paint and not "contact paper"? I have seen smooth and textured paint, but I have also seen units (only wattmeters, so far) with what I call contact paper, a textured paper with adhesive backing. I think it was a "late" phenomenon.

I purchased a W-4 some time ago, I think from someone on this list. It has what I would describe as a textured paint. It is not a fine texture, but more large grained texture. It looks very nice and all, but I was wondering if this is original, or not. s/n 31xxx
