Hello:
At the 2001 Dayton soiree, I purchased a relay
from Chet, KE4ISN, for my Drake L-7 amplfier. I haven't needed to install
it yet, I merely wanted to have a spare on hand because they are difficult to
obtain. In a later exchange of emails, Chet wrote:
"...I sold a few at Dayton. As far as I know
I have the only stock of Drake relays. I sold a bunch of them, and none of
them failed. I guarantee if it is bad I will send you a new one, and I
don't think Drake ever did that! I replaced two of them in amps I have
rebuilt for friends. A L-4 and a L-7; still running over four years.
I also rebuild the diode boards for the Drake amps. More after-market
parts to come in the future..."
Chet may still have some relays available.
