Once again the group has come through with flying colors! I have received many sources for parts, several of which were completely new to me. Since most everyone suggested not only replacing the electrolytics, but also the diodes and resistors, so I decided to go with the great retrofit kit made by Harbach Electronics that Jason, N1SU, told me about. The RK-AC4 kit includes everything needed to completely rebuild the power supply, and the design places everything neatly on a PC board! This should be a fun little project for me, and, at the same time, will get me a nice new power supply to boot :-)). These newer rigs like the T-4XB are going to be great fun for me to learn. Since I am used to pre 1945 technology, (dealing mostly with Hallicrafters and military equipment from that era), the next step in technology is going to be an interesting change of pace.
