Evert -
Pin 1 is mic audio,
Pin 2 is PTT
Pin 3 Ground (audio and PTT)
If you are using a high impedance microphone such as D104 or Shure 444 this works fine.
Here is a note in the back of the manual:
NOTE - Alternate Wiring for TR7 Transceivers with serial number above 1400.
If your operating habits include close talking the mic or speaking in a loud voice, you may find it beneficial to move the mic audio line to pin 4. This provides 8db of attenuation to the audio input signal. For transceivers with serial numbers below 1400, contact the factory regarding modification.

Sounds stupid but: How to connect the microphone to the TR7 plug (pin lay-out) I have no user manual and couldn't find it in the service manual.
