A standard audio patch cable will work fine for all but the INJ cable.
If the receiver function switch is in the "ON" position, the receiver will NOT mute, regardless of the cable or external switching. It must be in "UN-MUTE", "NB", or "CAL" for external muting.
Turn the ANTI-VOX control to minimum, (CCW) and advance the VOX GAIN control to midscale and try your keying again.

Greetings!
I recently got a set of B-Line twins and am looking forward to getting them on the air. The RX works FB except as below. Here are some issues I've run into:
1) RX wouldn't mute when the TX was keyed. So, I checked the cable... Yep, bad shield connection. So, I thought I'd try an audio patch cable...after all, it's just a switch...right... No go. Since the shield break on the OEM cable is at the base of one connector, would the best practice be to just replace that plug? Will any RCA style plug work?
2) The TX tunes just fine even thought the Fn switch need a serious dose of De-Oxit. However, when I key the rig w/ a straight key, all I get is a "dit" even if I key a "daaaaaaaaaaaah." Any thoughts? ( I have confirmed this malfunction with "Seperate," "xmtr," and "rcvr" PTO control...)
Thanks in advance for your help. I quacking up waiting to get on the air with my new Ducks...
