Yes, buy the Almost All Digital (aade.com) kit which costs less than $50.00
for the basic kit. You need to preload the counter to read correctly,
something the AADE kit already does. The bigger question is why bother at
all. The R-4C dial accuracy is more than adequate for the purpose. If you do
decide to go with a frequency counter, it is imperative that it NOT be
powered from the R-4C internal supply as it is already marginal to begin
with and any additional load would overtax the supply.

Hello 

I have tryed to build a freqentie counter for my drake r4c to use on 
the inj port.
But it gives the wrong freqentie. 
However on the cb radio the freqentie is correct.
The counter has a range from 0 to 350 mhz.
I don't want to mess with the drake.
Any idears how to solve the problem?
