I have R7 receiver that has a
dead S-meter. I noticed the S-meter lamp flicking for a short period, maybe over
a 1/2 hour or so, after that the meter went dead. The needle does move when
I turn down the RF gain. I've tried the "tapping" fix to see if it's just stuck,
but no dice. This is the second meter in the rig. I had this one replaced about
3 months ago with one from a TR7 and with switching the faceplates.
Something in this rig is "eating" S-meters. Does anyone have any clues where I
should start looking?
