The radio is fantastic in both physical condition and operationally. I have used the radio for several hours a day for the last 10 days and it is a FANTASTIC radio in all respects. The radio is rock solid almost from start-up and has almost no drift after about 10-minutes. The frequency is right-on and the sensitivity is superb. The TR-5 also includes the optional fan unit installed. The PS-75 is in almost new condition as is the radio. Everything works to specifications or better.
I have decided NOT to keep the radio and offer it up for sale on this list versus eBay. I would rather the radio go to someone who will use it and not sit it on a shelf. I have detailed pictures available if requested. I live in Central Illinois so if you are near Champaign County you are more than welcome to stop by and see the radio for yourself and even operate the rig and check out all the functions. I still have no real idea as to the value of the radio. Someone told me on this list that there are between 60-70 known to exist as of today and only 517 were made with many of those disappearing somehow. This is serial #1479 so it is one of the last 40 made. It is a rare find, indeed. Please make an offer on the entire station. I will be at Dayton if a pick-up is required.
