first of all thank you very much for your help but I'm tired and I will throw away the T-4XC (no problem I'll tell you the where is it..) but anyway I've check all your comments and the problem persist, but also another symptom is the low power of T-4xc (in this moment 10w in 40m after n-essime tuner procedure) I've changed the 6JB6 and the power still the same, I've tryed to neutralize and the problem persist, I don't know if this problem is linked with the low level of signal in R-4C when I connetc it through T-4XC and Carrier Osc.. anyway if a clever mind can help me or can guess the probelm will be welcome.

I misunderstood your last message. The INJ diode I referred to in the last message is obviously ok. Check R2 in the T-4XC to make sure it isn't open or gone up in value. The Carrier Oscillator in the TX and the 3rd Mixer LO in the RX both run all the time in CW/SSB modes. The CAR OSC cable is intended to merely connect them together, and if they are close enough in frequency, they will "lock" together. The fact that the receive signal only drops when the TX is turned ON, says that some voltage from the TX is disrupting the 3rd Mixer LO operation.

Sincerely thank you very much for your help, yesterday I bought the RG-62AU cable and today I made the 2 cables, but the problem persist. I've check in AM (broadcast) and nothing happens only in SSB (when CAR OSC cable interconnect T-4XC and R-4C) , I don't know if the next step is to realign something as the INJ procedure but I was reading the R-4C manual and I've seen the 5-12 paragraph (page 5-2) and it seems not a stupid procedure, is it correct?.

All cables were 38" long tip-to-tip.
The INJ cable used a foam inner dielectric and phono connectors with a white insulation. This cable measures 60 pF total capacity.
All other cables used the standard for the day clear polyethelene inner dielectric and phenolic (brown) insulated phono connectors and measures ~100 pF.

The best choice is the Belden 8421 Audio cable from their "Brilliance" line. It looks just like the other cables, and is very flexible. The RG-62 is OK, but it is 50% larger and far less flexible. RG-62 is also prone to shorting if bent over too small a radius. The only pertinent factor is the total capacity, impedance and "loss" are not important.

The problem is NOT the impedance of the cables, it's the capacitance. RG-58 is WAY too high capacity for INJ and CAR OSC cables. I don't have numbers with me, but you need cables with approximately 15 pF / ft for a 3 foot cable. RG-58 is approximately twice that. RG-62 is ok, but big and stiff. Belden 8421 shielded microphone cable is fine if you can find it.
Whatever cable you use, do the INJ part of the alignment of the receiver and transmitter with them connected together for transceive operation.

Hi Eugeni, For sure the cable that carries the "INJ" signal, does not have the proper impedance! I had the same, untill I installed the correct cable. I think it has to be 50 Ohm! 73, Dick/PA2DW

I'll be grateful if somebody can help me in this issue. R-4C
works properly till I connect the Carrier Osc between R-4C and
T-4XC and turn on the T-4XC, then the signal in R-4C drops 5-6
S units. With the T-4XC on, If I unplug the Carrier Osc cable
then R-4C turn to receives well. So I guess that there is a
problem with Carrier Osc, I've working to align the Carrier
Osc to 5645 Hz (it was ok), but there is no "visible" effect
in the level of R-4C receives. The level of injection it seems to be good because without the
carrier osc cable connected, the R-4C receives the same level
of signal if I manage either the VFO from T-4XC (Xmtr) or
R-4C (RCVR).
Your comments will be apreciated.
