Hi folks,
I have an R-4B and T-4XB, with MS-4/AC-4 available to a new home. I
have been thru all units and am satisfied with their performance.
Both receiver and transmitter are good looking externally, no
scratches, etc., on the front panels, the top covers have been painted and
look very good. There's some spotting on the rcvr chassis, and a bit more
on the xmtr.
The R-4B performs as well as my "keeper", which is very nice.
The T-4XB has a pair of "Emerson" branded tubes, which provide 140+w
out on 80-40-10m, 100w on 15m & 80+w on 10m. One tube is slightly taller
than the other, and a previous owner had cut holes in the final cage just
over the plate caps to provide a little extra clearance. There's a
phenolic plate over those holes, visible in the pix.
I prefer to sell all as a package, and will do so for $400 plus
shipping from 28560 zip. As a package, connecting cables will be
supplied, including a new, proper, RG-62 injection cable, and the 10 extra
crystals will be included with the receiver.
