Before I put it up for sale on E-bay, a wee alert
for UK-based list subscribers.
I no longer have the time to fully restore my
TR4-CW/RIT plus AC-4 and wish to pass
it on to someone
who'll complete the job.
Functionally, the rig works like it's supposed to,
and puts out 100w+ on 10 m.
1. It has the 500hz CW filter.
2. Internally, the front-end 12BA6 has been
replaced by an EF94.
3 The AC-4 is OK.
4. It does not have the NB!. I've never been able
to obtain this.
5. I have the manual etc.
6. A spare set of unused 6JB6's goes with the
rig.
Cosmetically, I've worked from outside
inwards:
1. both cabinets have been blasted and
powder-coated professionally with a satin,
not full gloss,
finish.
2. the knobs are brand new
replacements.
3. the main tuning knob has a new
inlay.
4. the front panel is clean apart from a minor
defect below the AF gain control.
5. the chassis could be cleaned up more.
I cannot describe the rig as being in collector's
condition, but externally, it looks like new.
I've had lots of fun with this rig and now want to
spend the time on my TR-7 gear.
