For many years what I have done is to use 12 to 20 inch extension cables
plugged into each HF transceiver / transmitter with the appropriate mic
input connector on one end and a 1/4 inch molded mic jack on the other. All
of my microphones have a matching 1/4 inch mic plug attached, but on the
operating table I have one Shure 444D that I can plug into each extension
cable depending on which rig I use. I dont keep more then one mic at the
operating position, it gets too cluttered. This works fine with the older
transceivers that only require 3 wire mic connections of course, but that's
all I use.
