Good morning all,
Got the newly acquired 2NT on a dummy load. Seems to tune up well (3540kc). Here is my question; I seems to take 1/4 to 1/2 second for the rig to actually transmit after I press down on the key, which means I lose the first CW character. If I turn up the delay, it's OK after the very first lost bit of code.
I changed the 6EA8, and may have made it slightly better, but still annoying.
Do I have a component going bad or is this just the design on the transmitter?
