I am new to drakelist and hope I make this post
correctly. My TR-7 s/n 1028 was working fine 5 years ago before I moved to
a new location. It was stored for the past 5 years and now has
troubles. The receiver works fine in all modes. The transmitter puts
out a carrier on cw and am but will not modulate. No output on ssb.
No side tone on cw. When monitored on another receiver, there is a heavy
ac hum on both am and cw, even with the mic not connected.
I have the Drake service manual but no extension
cards. Have removed the DR-7 board and exciter board which look ok
visually. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
