Garey Barrell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made an utterance to the drakelist gang ---------------------------------------------------------------------- That didn't make any sense. Too late at night.....
You can't measure - OR - adjust the VCO's without the extender cards. You have to have the jumper card in place to lock the loop so you can measure, AND you have to have the extender cards to get the jumper board up away from the adjustment slugs so you can adjust.
Maybe tomorrow I'll be coherent..... 73, Garey - K4OAH Atlanta Drake C-Line Service Manual <http://www.k4oah.com> [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] made an utterance to the drakelist gang ---------------------------------------------------------------------- It appears [from the indications in the service manual] that my VCO needs alignment. I've removed the DR7 and the front circuit card shield cover. The SM states that in order to adjust L501 and L502 one needs the jumper board and the extender cards. Is this true for taking the measurement at the test point, as well? I'm getting 22.6V [14MHz] and 22.7[28.5MHz] for readings at the test point on the VCO board, but this is of course with the DR7 and the shield cover removed. Are these measurements bogus unless the extender cards and jumper board are in place? Or, can I just go ahead and adjust L501 and L502? Thanks.
