For Sale: Drake TR-22 C, 2 meter FM transceiver The TR-22 C is the newer 12 channel version for this famous rig. It has a decent receiver, and typically about 1 Watt of transmit power. There is a telescoping antenna, or one can use an external antenna plugged into the SO-239 connector in the rear. It is 1975 vintage. It has a standard Drake / Kenwood 4 pin microphone connector on the front for use with a low Z microphone. This particular unit includes the telescoping antenna that is complete and not broken or damaged in any way. Quite unusual for this rig! It also still has the rubber plug on the front to cover the earphone jack, and two rubber plugs on the back to cover the AC line cord connector, and the 13 V DC input connector. There is some wear from use, but much less than most TR-22s that I have seen. There is corrosion inside in the battery compartment, but the 13 V DC connector works fine. The receiver functions very well, but it does not transmit. Included with it is a copy of the Kenwood TR-2200A manual, which is very close to the same rig, as Kenwood made the unit for Drake. $25 plus shipping from Florida.
