Well, I had erroneous readings with one of my cheaper frequency counters and I suspect that's because it isn't sensitive enough and can't lock on correctly or if I'm trying to measure a point that has multiple frequencies on it, it doesn't know which one to grab. I switched to HP 5316B which is sensitive and has some filtering.   Tom WC9M Moline, IL.
