It depends on the particular unit. Some had the "wired in" relay (early), then the "15k ohm coil" version, then the same relay used in some of the T-4X(any) series, the P&B (TYCO) R10-E1-Y4-V2.5k (available from Mouser and others) plug-in relay. The "R10" relay is the replacement for all of the others. If the TR-4 has the 15k version you need to add a series resistor (1.5k / 1/2W).

I was about to order some stuff from Mouser and had used one of their 'plug-in' types to replace a blown K-1 in a TR-4. Had gotten the part number on this site I think.
