Hello list....

I recently acquired mid production (ser# 62XX) TR7 & PS7.....the PS7 was DOA,I'll get into that when I have time. I connected the TR7 to a known good PS7...radio works fine TX & RX but apparently draws more current than I think it should be....the meter lamp dims considerably on voice peaks....VFO lamp not working at present...but my other TR7 doesn't dim the lamps like my new acquisition does. Voice peaks are about 115 watts on wattmeter, same output both TR7's.Is this something I should be concerned about,or OK to let it go?

The "new" TR7 is also wired for the Sherwood SP7,but is bypassed because that unit is long gone,it didn't come with rig. I was just wondering if perhaps the final unit might need looking at,or not. I figured I would inquire with those(the list) who would know if there was an underlying problem with my new TR7.

Incidentally, the PS7 doesn't blow any fuses when the current draw seems high on voice peaks. Perhaps this is why the PS7 I got with the rig doesn't work?

Thanks in advance
