As I have a K3 on order and need $$$ to pay for it I am offering my Drake
B-Line to the list before I explore other avenues including Ebay. Think
less of me if you want but I need to sell this rig :(
Here is the info:
The R-4B is serial 10877C produced in '68 - '69. I rebuilt the multi-cap
with discrete caps in the original can and also had to add a cap to C61 to
get the transceive adjustment to work properly. The auxiliary crystal slots
are full with WARC bands and 160 and also for the 49, 31, 25 and 19 meter SW
bands.
The T-4XB is serial 152310G produced '68 - '69. It has a full set of
crystals for the WARC bands also but no 160. I use the rig in transceive
with the R-4B crystal on 160. The finals are good and I have several more
used ones of varying quality I will include. There is a 12V fan attached to
the back of the final cage.
I recently did the upgrade from the Heathkit shop on the AC4 which really
improved transmit quality. The AC4 is mounted in the MS-4 which has no
label.
All cables included.
The rig has been in use in my shack and performs well. Physical condition
is good with the T-4XB somewhat better than the R-4B but both front panels
are in great shape. The cabinets are OK with the usual wear and tear.
I have quite a few used spare tubes for both rigs in addition to the finals
which I will include. I have original manuals for both units.
$500 buyer pays UPS ground from 67052. Pictures and questions answered on
request.
I'll miss this fine ole rig but I gotta have that K3!
