I just picked up a TR-4 sn 23176. It's dirty and needs work. It does
receive on both sidebands which is very good news. It also has a
noise blanker that works. Judging from the front panel, the noise
blanker was added later. It is not the 34-PNB, but looks like the
9-NB. It is just a board with no surrounding frame. I thought the
9-NB was for the TR-6. What noise blanker is it and was it standard
on the early TR-4's? Just wondering. It will be a while before I can
get to fixing it.
