Hi Nick,

The T4X-C transmitter has a T/R relay built in. If you get all the jumper
cables with it, it is an easy hookup. Aftermarket cables are available or easy
to
home brew.

A T/R switch is an electronic device which provides the same function as a
relay, but if you are using the drake C line twins, you will not need one. As I
recall, there were 3 manufacturers of these electronic T/R switches, Johnson,
B&W and DowKey. The first two were nearly identical and had built in power
supplies. DowKey had two versions, one with the built in supply and the other
which was normally powered by the transmitter accessory socket. Most folks
preferred to use the mechanical relay if required for their nparticular setup,
but
it was not a good choice for break-in CW. Also, back in the early days, the
electronic switches tended to cause some TVI.

Good luck with the C Line. You will love it. Follow the instructions for
tuning up. The sweep tubes used in the final cannot take a lot of extreme heat
caused by long tune up periods. A muffin fan set up to suck hot air out of the
final cage is a definate asset to longer tube life.Don't run the pants off of
it, either. A few less wats will make no difference on the other end.
