Try turning the ANTIVOX control fully counterclockwise - I think you have it set for maximum, and that the side tone (as an audio output source) is countering the VOX function that the sidetone generator uses to keep the radio keyed. Good luck, and 73 Bob, KD7NM

I have verified the mike is functional as I can adjust the VOX/Antivox pots and reliably key the transmitter by speaking into the mike, just nothing going to the finals.
