If anyone has or knows where to obtain a identical Drake output rf switch for a
L4B I would appreciate the information. I have been refurbishing a L4B and
came to the conclusion that the switch I have is to iffy to put back in the L4B,
as it was broken in three places and the contacts bent and twisted. Even though
I bonded it back together and straightened the contacts it still doesn't instill
in me the confidence that it will be reliable. However, I have installed in its
place a very reliable world war II switch from a navy transmitter. The
problem with this switch is that it is not able to switch out of the circuit
the sections of the variable condenser for 20 , 15 and 10 meters. Before I
seal up the l4B and try this switch I am asking if anyone knows where I can get
either a new one or a excellent condition used one, also, if I use this
world war II switch will it work satisfactory without switching out of the
circuit
one section of the variable capacitor(16 to 400 ppf) and for 15 and 10 meters
switching out of the circuit two sections of the variable capacitor. I don't
mind reducing the inductance of the pi section inductor if I have to, if
that will work for these 20, 15, and 10 meter bands. All advice and
