John -

The 2-B is a tube based oscillator and so uses 32 pF, Parallel resonant crystals. All but the R-4 in the 4 Series use 20 pF, Series resonant crystals, (I think.) I can't find my doc with the specs at the moment.

There would be a couple/three kHz difference in the frequency if the "wrong" crystal is installed, which isn't real serious for the Band crystals, unless you like to switch from band to band and have the "0" stay at "0". :-)

Bry's crystals are probably fine, but he doesn't have the 20.8 MHz ones required for 30M operation of the 4 Series.

In my experience, the crystal type is not critical in the Drake rigs. I seem to recall ordering a $3 "standard" computer type crystal out of mouser/digikey for use in a 2B as I recall, and it worked FB. HC6 or smaller, it doesn't really seem to matter.
