My T4XB has some strange symtoms.
On 80m band it tunes up with the RF tune at 6.5 ( between 40 and 20 meters)
The meter on the radio reads .15 the watt meter (MN4) reads 0 output
On the 40m band the RF tune is on 3 (lower portion of 80m ) meter says .25 and
watts out is 60
20m the RF tune is on 6 (upper portion of 40m ) meter reads .25 watts out is 60
15 m the RF tune is on 4 (upper 80m portion) meter reads .3 watts out is 20
on all of the above the plate and load controls are in range where would be
expected, gain is on 4
10m RF tune is 1.5 (middle of 160 portion) meter reads .2 watt meter moves
slightly
the plate and load are on 0 the gain is on 2. Any higher settings of any
controls and V5 gets red...REAL red.
This was done with the tune control but with a mic it does the same thing. I,m
lost, don't even know where to start looking.
Anyone have any ideas or even a clue?
