Hi Terry:
I didn.t open mine up, but I have the original box and datasheet for my
black 44D. There is no cap shown on the wiring diagram. WHite from the
connector goes to the ptt switch and then to the impedance switch as
yellow, then either the black or red to the cartridge. The white from
the cartridge goes to ground. I can scan the sheet if need be.
SOmeone may have added a bypass cap to prevent popping as the ptt switch
is closed.
