I have a tr-3 that I was warming up and the mike locked on. When I came back to a burning smell I shut it down. I found that the transmit/receive relay had melted part of the white plastic shield. I removed the cover cleaned the contacts and when it starts to get warm it closes the relay and will not receive. If I key the mic it locks into transmit mode, I do not think it transmits either. It looks to be over my head in repairing by myself, so I am looking for advice should I keep trying or find some one to repair it?
