I have a Fox Tango first i.f. filter in my R-4C.
Part YF-56H60G
5645 khz
No. 499
I searched the archives and google, but am not coming up with a definite
answer. Apparently, this is not original equipment.
DKmods (http://mods.dk/view.php?ArticleId=2534) has me wondering if this is the
6 khz or 8 khz filter. Can anyone provide an answer or any info about the
filter? I am guessing that it was installed as a selectivity improvement.
Perhaps it is the GUF-1 that I found reference to?
I figured google would get me right there with the part number, but no luck
with that.
Also in the R-4C the ssb xtal filter is Heath Dynamics part number A0770 (with
a 7346 below that). Is that the original filter? The manual photo is not clear.
And, a protocol question. There is a mod in the R-4C and in the T-4XC. Is it
best to ask those questions separately to make them more easily searchable? Or,
is it best to ask all things at once to keep email volume down?
