I purchased a T4XB that was a tech special and not knowing any better came up
with a solution to replace the TR Relay. My relay fix uses the one specified by
Garey and all I can say it has worked for me. This will not make your radio
"stock" but it was the difference for me of having the radio work or not work.
There may be other approaches but this has served me well.

Essentially there are two metal plates that are fabricated and as Barey said
this could even be done with PC board. One plate in the form of an L bracket is
used to support the relay assembly and the second plate supports the relay
socket. All wiring is fed through the back side of the the support bracket
through the mounting hole. The wires are then soldered to the socket and when
that operation is completed the wiring and socket plate are pulled back through
the mounting plate so that the two plates are aligned. There are 4 small 2-56
screws which connect the two plates
